כֹּה תְבָרְכוּ אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: אָמוֹר, לָהֶם.
יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה, וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ.
יָאֵר יְהוָה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וִיחֻנֶּךָּ.
יִשָּׂא יְהוָה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ, וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם.
רבן שמעון בן גמליאל אומר: כל המשים שלום בתוך ביתו, מעלה עליו הכתוב כאילו משים שלום בישראל על כל אחד ואחד (אבות דרבי נתן כח,ג)
Parashat Naso
The Priestly Blessing
“This is how you shall bless the People of Israel; say to them: May God bless you and watch over you. May God shine His countenance towards you, and favor you. May the Lord raise his countenance toward you and grant you peace.”
Rabbi Shimon ben Gamliel says: Anyone who brings peace to his home, the Torah considers him as if he brings peace to each and every member of the people of Israel.” (Avot d’Rabbi Natan 28:3)
